The 2 metres high Maen Penddu ("Black Headed Stone") stands next to an old trackway on the saddle between Tal y Fan and Cefn Maen Amor.

The standing stone is one of the numerous prehistoric attractions in the area such as the Druid's Circle to the north towards Penmaenmawr and the coast and the Maen y Bardd dolmen the other side of Tal y Fan to the south.

A very cuddly stone but unfortunately just too big to get your arms around!
